Funeral services for Janie Sue "Lang" Reed, a former Coalgate resident were held Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bart Patterson officiating. Burial was in Non Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Janie was born December 28, 1957 in Muleshoe, TX to Jack and Alice (Chick) Lang and passed away September 21, 2010 in Ada, OK at the age of 52.. She attended Stringtown and Coalgate High School graduating in 1976 and received her Bachelors and Masters Degree at ECU in Ada, OK. On September 23, 3009 she married Danny Reed in Ada and had been a teacher at Calvin, Stuart and McAlester.

Survivors include her husband Danny Reed of Ada, OK; children, Jason Eddings and wife Mandy of Ada, Shane Eddings and wife Kristi of Stuart, Amanda Eddings of OKC; grandchildren, Jaycee Eddings, Kaylin Shropshire, Abby Shropshire, and Michael Greenlee; sisters, Ellen Inscho of Stringtown, Peggy Van Dyke of Edgewood, TX, Jackie Grotteland of Coalgate, Sharon Thibault of Jacksonville, FL, Shirley Dietrich of Awaredo, TX Wanda Moore of Lehigh, Linda McLellan of OKC, and Frankie Lang of Lubbock, TX; brother, Gene Lang of Coalgate; step-children, Kristi Reed and Brett Reed; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Alice "Chick" Lang.

Casketbearers were Kristi Reed, Bill Van Duke, Tracy Blasengame, Darrel Reed, Terry Beck, Shelly Turpin, and Dustin Dietrich. Honorary bearers were Baley Eddings and Charles Kile.
