Donald (Don) Wayne Davenport, 83 of Earlsboro, OK. Passed away peacefully at his home, Monday, January 26, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Don was born February 23, 1942, to Albert and Gladys Davenport of Holdenville, OK. He graduated high school from Holdenville High School in 1960 and continued his education at the University of Central Oklahoma. On February 26, 1965, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Sue Green of Meeker. Together, they built a family filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Don was a loving father of 3 children, Gary Don, Randy Wayne, and Bryan Keith and a cherished Grandfather of 7 grandchildren, Tiffany, Brittany, Nolan, Ashly, Kelsy, Macy, and Dallas along with 8 great grandchildren.

Don was a man of many talents with a career spanning over 35 years as a teacher, principal, and superintendent in education in Oklahoma and Texas. After his retirement from education, he retired to the farm where he and Bonnie raised racing greyhounds and cattle. His hobbies included working on the farm and attending as many of the grandchildren’s events as possible. He also took pride in attending the Holdenville Faith Free Will Baptist Church in his later years with his grandson Dallas.

Don is survived by his 3 sons, Gary Davenport and wife Nic of Garland, Tx. Randy Davenport of Holdenville, OK. Bryan Davenport, of Earlsboro, OK. His brother Jim Davenport and wife Donna of Norman, OK. Grandchildren, Tiffany Bevis and husband Charles of Dallas, TX. Brittany Davenport of Garland TX. Nolan Davenport and Wife Jamiee, of Oklahoma City, OK, Ashly Davenport and Fiancé’ Cayle Krause of Earlsboro, OK. Kelsy Balak and husband Joe of Moore OK. Macy Davenport of Baltimore.MD. Dallas Davenport of Wewoka, OK. 8 great grandchildren, Zylie, Elinore, Logan, Eathan, Maelynn, Tesla, Oakley, and Braxton. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Gladys, his wife Bonnie, and 14 brothers and sisters along with multiple other family members.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Parks Brothers Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 5:00 -7:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague on Friday, January 30, 2026. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
