Mickie Marie Walker, age 87, of Harrah, Oklahoma was born January 17, 1929, in Coalgate, Oklahoma.
She was the daughter of James White Palmer and Willie Kate {Hinman} Palmer.
She left this life on Monday, May 9, 2016, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Mickie married Sherman Leo Walker on November 9, 1946.
She retired from Tinker AFB where she was a maintenance worker.
Then she met the love of her life, John Lehr.
Mickie loved to go to church and she was a member of the Eastern Star.
Although she had no children of her own, her heart was filled with love for all her nieces and nephews and all the greats there after, especially her Jaden Douglas.
Mickie enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, harvesting pecans and loved to take care of people, she was a mom to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sherman Leo Walker, brothers Harvey and his wife, Ynaith Palmer, James and wife, Tenney Palmer, step-brother, Charles Lesley, sisters, Dovie and husband, Roy, Vida, Elisa and husband, Warren Lennier, Clara and husband, Donald Woosley, Opal and husband, Elgie Ford, and brother-in-law, Edward Lanoy.
Mickie is survived by her sister, Willie Lanoy of Duncan, Oklahoma, step-brother, Ray Lesley of Washington, and the love of her life, John Lehr, as well as his children and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2016, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Gerty Cemetery, Calvin, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, Oklahoma.
