Kenneth James Blaylock, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed from this life peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025 at the age of 57.

Ken grew up in Calvin, Oklahoma and spent most of his adult life in Durant. He was devoted to his family and was a man of tremendous character and touched the lives of all those who knew him. Ken was a man with simple needs. He was happiest when at home working in his shop rebuilding trailers with his son, Kolten. He had a passion for repurposing things to give them a new use.

Ken dedicated much of his professional life to MEMC Southwest in Sherman, Texas, and the Facilities Management team at the Choctaw Nation in Durant where he was respected for his integrity, work ethic, and dedication to his team.

Above all, Ken was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, a proud father and a steady presence who led with humility. His wisdom and strength will be missed beyond words. Though Ken has left this earth, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he loved.

Ken was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Ples Blaylock, and maternal grandparents Furman Beck and Ollye Beck.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shauna, of the home; a son, Kolten of Durant; his parents, Kenny and Bethryn Blaylock of Calvin; his grandmother, Pauline Blaylock of Holdenville; a sister, Trena Simmons and her husband, Rett, of Holdenville; two nephews, Tyler and Taden Freeman of Holdenville; and a host of cousins and good friends.

A Memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 14th, at Brown’s Funeral chapel in Durant. Come and share a story with Ken’s family during this time.

A Memorial graveside will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15th, at Crossroads Cemetery in Calvin, Oklahoma with burial of cremains following services.

Ken’s family would like to give a special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice for the compassionate care they bestowed upon him during this time.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
