Jace Lewis Wooley, 37, of Stuart, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at his home.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Bohannon Church with burial to follow at Bohannon Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Sherry McNutt.
Jace was born on September 9, 1979 in McAlester to Richard Wayne & Tammy Marie (Capehart) Wooley. He grew up in Stuart and graduated in the class of 1998 from Stuart High School.
After high school, he began working at Walmart; later was a cook for Giacomo’s Italian Restaurant for a number of years.
He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed hunting arrowheads with his daughter.
Jace was survived by his daughter: Jacee Wooley of Stuart; parents: Richard and Tammy Wooley of Stuart; sister: Amanda Wooley and Branden Smith of Arpelar; grandmother: Marian Goode and husband, Rex of McAlester.
He is also survived by aunts: Sue Avery of McAlester, Lela Buser and husband, Scott of Oregon, JoAnn Runstrom of Arizona, Lulu Reeves of Oregon, Judy Fleming & husband, Dave of McAlester, and Ronda Talley & husband, Bob; numerous cousins; and a special friend: Whitney Clifton of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Clyde Capehart, paternal grandparents: Richard R. & Gwendolyn Wooley, and his son: Dustin.
Serving as active pallbearers will be A.J. Thomason, Nick Beams, Billy Myskey, Danny Capehart, Colton Pickens, and Cody Wageman.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be David Patterson, Shawn Flemming, Hunter Woolsey, Carl Holland, and Gavin Springer.
