Services for Ova Viola (Tubby) Davis, 79, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Revs. Harold Ware and John Haynes will officiate. Interment will be 3:00 p.m. at Bohannon Cemetery, near Stuart.

Mrs. Davis passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at a Norman assisted living center. She was born February 4, 1937 in Scipio, OK to Jake and Cora Boyd Wood. She attended grade school in Cabiness and graduated from Stuart High School.

She married Douglas Edward Davis June 27, 1955 in Ada. He preceded her in death September 29, 2011. Mrs. Davis was a beautician and owned and operated Tubby’s Beauty Shop. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Ada.

Survivors include her daughter, Sonja Potts and her husband Kevin of Norman; a son, Steve Davis and his wife Laura of Tulsa; two granddaughters, Jaime Kliewer and husband J. T. and Ashton Smith and husband Nick; two grandsons, Preston Craig and wife Whitney and Dylan Duncan; her great grandchildren, Hudson, Davis and Isobel Kliewer; and Daxton Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She also had a “semi-adopted” son, Harold Ware of Ada.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Davis in 2013.

The family says those who wish may make memorials to the First Baptist Church Falls Creek Building Fund, 521 S. Broadway, Ada, OK 74820.
