Betty Lou White Baldwin was born on August 26th, 1932 in Wayne, OK. to parents, Charles & LeAnnie White. Betty Lou peacefully parted this earth on May 4th, 2020, surrounded by her children, at the tender age of 87 years young, joining her parents in heaven. She is also preceded in death by her sisters: Rosetta, Martha “Lorene”, Evora “Gal”, & Bernice; her brothers: Alvie-Lee, & James Edward.
Betty Lou is survived by her sister, Lois, and brothers, Charlie, Clifford “Pete”, & Vernon; her children, Orville, Paula, & Rickey; Orville’s wife, Darlene, & their daughter Jamie Ferranti; Paula’s son, Christopher Todd Baldwin, his wife Melissa, & Paula’s daughter, Kaitlyn Marlar; Rickey’s wife Jeannie, & their daughter, Jamie Dawn Taylor; Great grandchildren: Gracie & Nick Taylor, Cammron, Macayla, & Colby Baldwin.
Betty Lou was one of twelve children & had a very close relationship with all of her siblings. She attended South East High School, where she participated in the 4H Club. She started working right after graduation. She was a line-scraper at Western Electric in the 1960’s & worked in the food service industry at Sky Chef at Will Rogers Airport, where she was awarded employee of the month & later retired after working there for over thirty years.
She enjoyed collecting dolls, cooking, gardening, bowling on a league, traveling, singing in the church at Pioneer Baptist Church & later attended SW Baptist Church. She loved sewing, spending time with her kids, grandkids, family, & friends. She was a loving, caring, strong woman that will be missed by many.
Visitation will be Friday, May 8, 2020 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 11, 2020 at 10:00 am at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Calvin, Oklahoma.
