Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord through his faith
in Jesus Christ. On Nov. 3, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark., surrounded by
his loving family, Raymond Eli Tomlin went to be with his Lord and
Savior.

He was born June 7, 1935, in Sacramento, Calif., to Lewis and
Orthel (Brown) Tomlin.

Raymond, 77, of Keota was a retired carpenter and rancher. He
enjoyed restoring antique cars and spoiling his grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.

He is survived by four daughters, Martha Real and husband, Joe, of
Panama, Thelma Alford and husband, Eugene, of Stigler, Sarah Tomlin
and husband, Shawn Schwarzbach, of Margate, Fla., Jennifer Dees and
husband, John, of Tucker; one son, Neal Tomlin and wife, Debbie, of
Keota; one sister, Mildred Bergman and husband, Wayne, of Fort Smith;
eight grandchildren, Larrisa Alford, Samanatha and Jeanisa Real,
Daniel and Micheal Tomlin, Daryan and Kaleb "Tater" Heffner and
Felicity Dees; five great-grandchildren, Danielle "D-Ray," Joshua
Tomlin, Remington, Peyton and Paisley Tomlin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeraldine and his
only brother, Johnney.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at First
Baptist Church in Keota with the Revs. Harold McConnell and Mike
Newberry officiating. Burial will be in Old Cache Cemetery under the
direction of the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.

Viewing will be in Keota Mallory-Martin Funeral Home with family
visitation at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
