Obit for Linda
Linda Turner, 66, of McAlester, died Monday, September 15, 2014 at her residence. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17 at Bishop Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Rev. David Hall officiating. Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery in Stigler at 2:00 p.m. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.
Linda was born in Salinas, California on January 13, 1948 to Alfred, Sr. & Ida Campbell Powell. She and her family moved to Oklahoma when she was 12 years old. She attended schools in Quinton, Oklahoma and graduated from Quinton High School.
Linda was married to Albert Wayne Turner on February 5, 1966 in Stigler. She loved to fish, play bingo and she loved to dance when she was younger.
Survivors include her husband: Wayne Turner of the home; children: Dianna & Paul Radtke of McAlester, Michael & Barbara Turner of McAlester, Debra Turner of McAlester, Glenda & Daniel Tate of McAlester; grandchildren: Jake Heathcock, Jacquelin Heathcock, Matthew Turner, Riley Turner, Marissa Turner, Cordell Turner, Jerry Tate, Jacob Tate, Jessica Tate, Jasmine Tate.
Also, great-grandchildren: Jaxxon Dutton, Brayden Heathcock, Memphis Turner, Khloe Turner; brother: Alfred Powell, Jr.; and sisters: Betty Williams, Mary Lee Doorman. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Marvin Powell and Merle Powell, and sister: Velma.
Pallbearers will be Riley Turner, Jerry Tate, Jacob Tate, Matthew Turner, Cordell Turner, and Randy Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Zac Doyle and Josh Holloway.
