Agnes Roedell, 85 year old Mooreland, Oklahoma resident passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Crosspointe Church in Mooreland, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Laverne Memorial Cemetery, in Laverne, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.
Lillian Agnes (Peterson) Roedell was born on June 21, 1936 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to William and Opal (Hayes) Peterson. She grew up in Gage, Oklahoma and graduated from Gage High School in 1954. She was united in marriage to Roy Morris December 27, 1953 and were blessed with four children, Max Roy, Bill Edward, Bobby Joe, and Lois Marie. Agnes was predeceded in death by Roy on July 24, 1976.
She worked as a nurse's aid for many years at the Shattuck Convalescent Center, Woodward Nursing home, Mooreland Nursing Home, and the Woodward hospital. She also worked as a caretaker in patient's homes, along with being a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
Agnes was united in marriage to Cleo Roedell on September 3, 1983 in Mooreland, Oklahoma and to this union she was blessed with three step children, Pamela, Teresa, and Jerry. Agnes enjoyed needleworking, camping, fishing, and cooking. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren brought her the most joy. She was also a member of Crosspointe Church in Mooreland, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her husband Cleo Roedell of the home; sons Max Roy Morris and wife Karen, Bill Edward Morris and wife Sandra, Bobby Joe Morris and wife Judy; daughters Lois Marie Morris, Pamela James and husband John, Teresa Hale and husband Ib; and daughter in law LaDonna Roedell; twelve grandchildren, eleven step grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren; sister Ethel Barnes and husband Russell; brother-in-law Frank Matthews; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Opal Peterson, first husband Roy Morris, sister Maudie Matthews, step son Jerry Roedell, half sister Avis Hart, and half brother Vernon Peterson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Crosspointe Church Building Fund with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
