ROY LEE MOORE SR.

26 Apr 1925 - 7 Mar 2007

The funeral for Roy Lee Moore Sr., 81, of Laverne, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church in Laverne. The Rev. Earl Malone will officiate. Burial will be in Laverne Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home, Laverne.

He was born April 26, 1925 in Beaver County to Ora D. and Pearl Morris Moore and died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in Shattuck.

He attended a country school near Laverne. He was a retired plant superintendent for Phillips Petroleum Co., with more than 40 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church and involved in Northwest Passage. He was a member of 100 Meridian Rod and Gun Club and Red Carpet. He married Marjorie Ruth Pemberton Feb. 12, 1945, in Laverne. She died June 5, 1993.

Surviving are two sons, Dewey Loren "D.L." Moore of Enid and Roy Lee "R.L." Moore of Greenville, Miss.; five daughters, Betty J. Curtis of Grove, Shirley D. Cook of Gate, Marleeta J. Waugh and Cindy Gibson, both of Laverne, and Angela Branch of Woodward; one brother, Merel Moore of Rosston; two sisters, Dorothy Boss of Salina, Kan., and Vulla Cullison of Hutchinson, Kan.; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Marjorie, he was proceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one grandson.
