Alexander Broyce Hickman

Alexander Broyce Hickman
July 1, 1992 ~ May 1, 2021

Alex Hickman

Alexander Broyce Hickman was born on July 1, 1992 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert David and Katrina Gail (Meyer) Hickman. Alex was baptized on October 10, 2001 at the First Baptist Church in his hometown, Laverne, Oklahoma. Growing up in the small town, Alex, along with his little brother Tucker, was well known for mischievous adventures. The pair knew where every candy dish in each of their neighbors homes were and would walk in and help themselves often. Alex adored and idolized his big brother Joey. Though Alex was given the nickname Chucky because of his onery smile and uncanny way to wreak havoc, akin to the infamous Chucky doll, he wore it proudly because it was his beloved brother Joey who donned him with it. To this day, he is lovingly referred to as Chuck by those closest to him.

Alex played football and baseball for Laverne High School and was proud to be a Laverne Tiger He also enjoyed shooting sports and loved that his dad, David, was the shooting coach. After graduating from high school in 2011, Alex received his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Dodge City Community College.

It was during this time that he became reacquainted with a beautiful young woman who, throughout his childhood was just the little sister of one of his closest friends. After a chance encounter, Alex told Anna he had loved her from a far for many years and he was going to marry her. Anna made Alex prove he was sincere by keeping things platonic. After a good deal of time, Anna took Alex by complete surprise and introduced him as her boyfriend. On January 4, 2014 Alex returned that surprise by ensuring Anna won a prize. When she opened the gift, a simple note said "Turn Around" and there was Alex on bended knee. With his entire family present, Alex asked for Anna to be his wife. The couple married June 12, 2015 at his parents home in Cimarron, Kansas. The newlyweds made their home in Alva, Oklahoma before settling in Woodward. On December 3, 2016 Alex and Anna welcomed their daughter, Kimber LeeAnn. Their family was blessed once again on October 14, 2019 when their son Vander Roy was born.

Alex took great pride in providing for his beautiful family and enjoyed working in the oilfield, following in his father's foot steps. On February 1, 2015 Alex began his own company, Hickman Oil and Gas, fulfilling his dream of being self employed. Alex enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf with his friends and family. But his most cherished times were those spent with the love of his life, Anna and their 2 beautiful children.

On the evening of May 1, 2021 Alexander Broyce Hickman passed away in a tragic accident.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Hickman; daughter, Kimber Hickman; son, Vander Hickman; parents, David and Katrina Hickman; brothers, Joey Hickman and wife Valerie, Tucker Hickman and wife Sarah; sister, K.C. Conway and husband Marty; Grandparents, Robert and Phyllis Hickman; Grandmother, Bonnie Meyer; mother-in-law, Beverly Mings; brothers-in-law, Cody Rollins and wife Macie, Levi Murray; sister-in-law, Legacey Castleberry; nieces, Raquel Conway, Valerie Conway, Xara Hickman, Baylea Hardison, Bexley Hickman, Briley Murrary, Callie Rollins, Sadie Rollins, and Nyleigh Hardison; nephews, Erick Conway, James Conway, Hunter Hardison, Xavin Hickman, Knox Hickman, Blayne Hickman, Quade Hickman, Kaden Conway, and Carson Murray.
