Graveside services for Louis Taft Fuller, 84, of Marlow, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, at the Laverne Cemetery, Laverne.
Born Sunday, March 12, 1924 near Slapout, the son of Clifford Ray and Ester Alberta Taft Fuller, he died Saturday, September 13, 2008, in Marlow.
Mr. Fuller lived in Borger, Texas before moving to Marlow three years ago. He attended Laverne High School in Laverne. Mr. Fuller served in the Army 11th Airborne during World War II. He and Bonnie Cristine Rush were married January 19, 1946 in Ashland, Kansas. He retired from J.M. Huber Company as an operator after 30 years of service. He was a 32nd degree Mason for over 50 years. Mr. Fuller enjoyed race horses and going camping in the mountains in his motor home. He loved his kids and grandkids and enjoyed them coming to “Bubba’s pool school.” Mr. Fuller was the author of “Chipsy Charley.” He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Fuller of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Darell Luster of White Deer, Texas, Ann and H.L. “Dutch” Langston of Thackerville and Christina and Roger Barbour of Duncan; four grandchildren, Jeff Langston, Shannon Scoggins, Christopher Luster and Amie Lawler; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Bebe Anne Messner and husband Milton of Slapout; a nephew, Van Messner of Slapout; and a niece, Vicki Perkins of Noble.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-niece, Vanessa Messner.
