Laverne – Service for Kenneth Gerald Aylett, 76, who died Thursday, November 21, 1991, at Ashland District Hospital, is at 2 PM Sunday in the Apostolic Faith Church in Laverne with the Rev. Wesley Peterman and Rev. Jack Cornell officiating. Burial is in the Laverne Cemetery under the direction of Seeger Funeral Home.
Aylett was born August 21, 1915, to William Henry and Rebecca (Dawson) Aylett near Laverne. He married Lillie Kinser November 2, 1945, at Woodward. He farmed in the Slapout and Clearlake communities until 1955, when they moved to Laverne and he started to work in the oil field. He drove a truck for General, Inc., until 1978, when he went to work for Courson Oil and Gas, Inc. of Perryton, Texas. He worked there until the age of 72.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie, of the home; a son, Melvin "Bud" Aylett, Perryton; three daughters, Wilma Moore, of Hooker, Anita Frey, Mulhall, and Frances Nelson, Laverne; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great – grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Memorials in his honor may be to the Assembly of God Church in Laverne.
