Laverne – Larry Don Anderson, 29, died Thursday in an Oklahoma City hospital of injuries suffered in a June 28 auto accident.
Services will be 2 PM Sunday in the Fairview United Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Dozer and Jim Lovett will officiate. Burial will be in the Laverne Cemetery under the direction of the Seeger Funeral Home.
Anderson was born February 14, 1956 in Stillwater to Kenneth and Barbara Anderson. He graduated from Mangum high school. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor of science degree in animal science.
He was an extension 4 – H agent in Sayer and was selected as outstanding 4 – H agent in Oklahoma. On December 27, 1980, he married Carol Jean Beckelman at Hobart. They made their home in Hobart and Willow before moving to Laverne in 1983. He worked as a farmer and rancher.
He attended the Fairview United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday school superintendent. He was a member of the Beaver County Fair Board, the Clearlake 4 – H club,Tthe Cattlemen's Association, and the Angus and Herford Association.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, three children, Monica, Jeremy and Rebecca; his parents, Kenneth and Barbara Anderson, Hobart; a brother, Mark Anderson, Houston, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Don (Debara) Craig, Snyder; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Riley Marsh, Snyder, and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Anderson, Mountain Park.
Memorials in his name may be made to the Larry Anderson Memorial 4 – H Scholarship fund with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.
