The funeral for Edythe Marie Anderson, 79, of Laverne, will be 11 AM Thursday, May 13, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Laverne. The Reverends Michael Wilcox in Gaylon Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Laverne Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:59 PM today and 9 AM to 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Myatt Funeral Home, Laverne.
She was born May 10, 1930, in Logan to Walter Ray and Mary Edith Roe Wells and died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at Hansford Manor, Spearman, Texas.
She was a 1948 graduate of Laverne high school.
She married James "Winston" Anderson August 16, 1955, in Woodward. He died October 27, 1990.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Laverne.
She was a business owner.
Surviving are one son, Jimmy Anderson of Bartlesville; one daughter, Ronda Witten of Spearman; five grandchildren; and six great – grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, James, she was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
In memorials may be made through the funeral home, Box 909, Laverne, OK 73848, to Hansford Manor or Hansford hospice.
