BUFFALO - Service for Harry S. Vanderpool, 91, who died Monday in a Buffalo hospital, was at 2 pm today in the First Baptist Church at Buffalo with the Rev. Bob Denton officiating. Burial was in Highpoint Cemetery.
Vanderpool moved with his family to Stillwater in 1902 when still a boy, then moved to Harper County where the family homesteaded west of Buffalo. On July 14, 1912, he married Hattie VanCampen at Buffalo. They made their home on a farm in Kansas until 1958 when they returned to a farm in Buffalo.
Mrs. Vanderpool died November 5, 1977. Three of the couple's children, three brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George Waugh and Mrs. Ivan Zinn , both of Buffalo; one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Hall, Buffalo; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
