Funeral: 2:00 PM Thursday, June 2nd, 2016, New Horizon United Methodist Church

Interment: 3:30 PM Thursday, June 2nd, 2016, High Point Cemetery

Michael Sanders, 22 year old Woodward resident, passed from this life on Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Weatherford. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the New Horizon United Methodist Church with Reverend Becky Pierson officiating. Interment will follow in High Point Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Michael Craig Sanders was born on January 25, 1994 in Woodward, Oklahoma the son of Michelle Adams and Steven Craig Sanders. Michael attended school in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School with the class of 2012. During high school Michael was very active in the WHS Band. When Michael was young he spent time at his grandparents house in Buffalo, and Boise City as well as spending time with his Dad in Perry and Elk City. After high school Michael attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva. He worked while attending college at the Blue Water Grill, Kellie’s Sweet Surprises and Hutch’s.

Michael enjoyed sports, hunting and fishing, going to the lake with family and friends. He was a supportive older brother who coached his younger brothers soccer team.

He attended the New Horizon United Methodist Church.

Michael is survived by his parents, Steven Sanders and wife Brandy of Elk City; Michelle Snider and husband Rian of Woodward; four brothers, A.J. Sanders of Weatherford; Chase Sanders of Elk City; Zachary and Shane Snider both of Woodward; grandparents, Mike and Donna Adams of Chester; Terry and Debra England of Buffalo; Craig and Glenda Sanders of Boise City; Greg and Joanie Snider of Buffalo; Shelley Warner of Woodward; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Glenn and Eileen Adams; Nancy Adams; Dorothy and Clinton Buck; Wesley and Willa May Sanders; Joe and Dorothy Grose.
