The funeral for Dorothy M. Murray, 95, of Buffalo, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at First Christian Church, Buffalo. The Rev. Brodie Bliss will officiate. Burial will be in High Point Cemetery , Buffalo. Arrangements are by Myatt Funeral Home, Buffalo. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born March 11, 1913, on the family farm near Dunlap, south of Buffalo, to Willis and Olive George and died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Grace Living Center, Buffalo.
She attended Selman schools, graduating from Selman High School.
She married Ross Murray Oct. 24, 1942, in Wichita, Kan. He died June 29, 1966.
She was a waitress, beautician and janitor by trade and a member of First Christian Church where she sang in the choir and played the piano. She also was a member of the Church Women's Fellowship.
Surviving are two sons, Calvin Murray of Mooreland and Stuart Murray of Corrales, N.M.; one sister, Mildred Hayden of Alva; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ross, she was preceded in death by one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home, Box 749, Buffalo, OK to First Christian Church, Grace Living Center activity fund, or Woodward Hospice.
