ENID - The funeral for Glenn Earl Howard, 96, of Buffalo, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2010, at First Christian Church, Buffalo. The Revs. Brodie Bliss and Bill Tindell will officiate. Burial will be in High Point Cemetery, Buffalo. Arrangements are by Myatt Funeral Home, Buffalo. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born May 21, 1913, on the family homestead north of Selman to George E. and Minnie M. Travis Howard and died Monday, March 15, 2010, at his home.
He attended Roosevelt country school and graduated from Selman High School in 1933.
He married Clara Ruth George May 21, 1934, in Cherokee. She died Aug. 26, 2005.
He was a member of First Christian Church, where he served as an elder for 48 years. He was a member of Farm Bureau, Harper County Water Corporation, Commit-teman for Community A.S.C. and a Farmer Co-op Board member.
Surviving are one son, Donald Howard of Selman; one daughter, Phyllis Howard of Selman; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Clara, he was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home, Box 749, Buffalo, OK 73834, to First Christian Church or Alzheimer's Association.
