Rosa Lee (Galloway) Heidlebaugh, 81 year old resident of Woodward, OK, passed from this life on July 26, 2018 in her home. Rosa was born June 22, 1937 to Tommy Lee and Gail Mayo (Murphy) Galloway in Sikeston, MO. Rosa grew up in Missouri and moved to California with her mother in her teens. She did not attend school at this time, but in 1974 she would obtain her GED. Rosa married George Rodgers in 1954 and was blessed with two children. Rosa married Troy Heidlebaugh on November 28, 1964 and they were blessed with three children.
Rosa had a special interest in sewing, crocheting, cake decorating, and crafting. She was a member of the Buffalo Booster Club, where she made “victory cakes” for the Buffalo High School sporting events for years. During her time with the boosters, Rosa was awarded with the Buffalo Booster Appreciation award.
Rosa’s passion was her husband and family. She never slowed down when it came to tasks to be handled. Her favorite times of year were Christmas and Thanksgiving when everyone got together. Her family was gifted with the sound of music and nothing pleased her more than to have the family together singing around the piano. Rosa’s friends quickly became family. Her door was always open to those in need of love. There was always plenty of food for everyone that came in. If anybody left hungry, it was their own fault. Her children’s friends became family. They called her mother, and still to this day they call her mom.
Preceding Rosa in death are her parents Tommy and Gail Galloway; son Danny Rodgers; brother Billy Galloway; grandson Seth Caldwell; and great-granddaughter Elise Paige Keeton.
Remembering Rosa is her husband Troy Heidlebaugh of the home; son David and wife Doris Heidlebaugh of Vici, OK; daughters Kathy and husband Jerry Baird of Buffalo, OK, Gaylene and husband David Hargrove of Stillwater, OK, Gina Caldwell of Woodward, OK, and Tina Davidson of Woodward, OK; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; and a host of friends and loved ones.
