Buffalo – The funeral for Ruby Ileen Adams, 75, who died Thursday at her home in Buffalo, will be at 2:30 PM Sunday at Buffalo First Christian Church. Jerry Balke, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in High Point Cemetery under the direction of Seeger Funeral Home.
Ruby Ileen Messenger was born February 28, 1914, in Ashland, Kansas, and moved to Harper County. She graduated from Buffalo high school. On August 1, 1931, she married Glenn Adams in Buffalo. They farmed northwest of Buffalo and also owned and operated Adams Grocery Store in Buffalo for five years. They moved to Buffalo in 1983. She was a member of Buffalo First Christian Church and a 50 – year member of the Rebekah Lodge. She also belonged to the AYLI Club.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Michael Glenn of Buffalo; one sister, Bertha Over of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Cancer Society.
