LaHonda Pearl (Hardin) Sisson, 86, of Wayne, passed away in her home on Monday, July 10, 2023.  

The daughter of Clyde Jackson and Edith Louella (Watts) Hardin, LaHonda was born in Hollis, Oklahoma on August 27, 1936.  

LaHonda graduated from Putnam City High School.  She married the love of her life, Robert Karl Sisson, Sr. on May 13, 1958.  They remained married for 52 years before his passing on October 11, 2010.  LaHonda was a faithful Church of Christ member since the age of 12, planting seeds of Christianity throughout her life including with her husband, Bob, who later became a Christian and subsequently a preacher in the Church of Christ. Because of her love for God and devotion, she changed countless lives. She loved working in Vacation Bible School, teaching Bible classes and leading in women’s ministry.  With her husband, they owned South Central Ambulance Service in Lexington, Nebraska. 

LaHonda was a proud breast cancer survivor, after being diagnosed in 2008. She beat the hell out of cancer and went on to live life after a double mastectomy in 2009. 
 

Throughout her working career, LaHonda was also a bank teller beginning in 1950. She moved to Blanchard in 2012 after retiring and made her home there until moving to Wayne in 2020 with Ron and Davina.
 

LaHonda is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Edith Hardin; her husband Bob; grandson, Robert Karl “Bobby” Sisson, III; brothers-in-law, Wayne Johnson and Jim Sisson; and sister-in-law, Saundra Gustus and her husband Vernon Gustus.
 

LaHonda is survived by her two sisters, Joy Johnson of Edmond, OK, and Meryl Lynn Sorrell and husband “T” of Colbert, OK, her sons, Robert K Sisson and wife Leoria of Sudan, TX, Ron D. Sisson and wife Davina of Wayne, Ron J. Sisson and wife Wendi of Memphis, TN, and daughter, Martha Barton and husband Michael of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Samantha, Derek and Taylor Sisson, Aaron Holtz, Lainey, Jackson, John Robert, Lillabeth, and Keller Sisson, Austin and Michael Anthony Barton, Ashton Rogers, Lauren Gutierrez, Teagan, Morgan, and Jaren Adams, Jonathan, Matthew, and Connor Barton, Brenley Hill; 16 great, great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
 

LaHonda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends. 
 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the Blanchard Church of Christ.  

Interment will be held at 3:00 P.M. in the Independence Cemetery, Vinson, OK.  

Services are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard, OK.
