Lois Marie Eaton, age 90, of Altus, passed away Monday evening, March 16, 2015, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, in Altus.

Mrs. Eaton was born in Spiro, Oklahoma on March 8, 1925, to Hugh and Ruby (Ross) Marable.

After attending school in Spiro, she met Roy White Gibbons and they were married on October 9, 1945. They later moved to Gould where they established their home. Roy died in 1988, and Lois lived in Hollis, Altus, Norman and Oklahoma City. In 2008, she moved back to Altus where she lived until her death.

Preceded in death by a twin brother, Bois Marable; a sister, Charlene Hayes; her parents and her husband.

She is survived by three children, James Roy Gibbons and wife Cindy of Gastonia, North Carolina, Joyce Ayers and husband Perry of Weatherford and Loyce Pruitt of Altus; five grandchildren, James Troy Gibbons, Kimberly McGill, Brandon Ayers, Matt Ayers and Heather Pruitt; five great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Cremation services have been furnished by Harmon County Funeral Home and Lois will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Liberty Cemetery in Harmon County, Oklahoma.
