Funeral services for Charles Russell Woodman, 77, of Rush Springs, formerly of Gould, Oklahoma will be held on Monday, July 30, 2001 in the Methodist Church in Gould, Oklahoma. Service time has not yet been determined.

Charles Russell Woodman was born on Aug. 22, 1923 in Carrier, Oklahoma, the son of E.E. "Lige" Woodman and Lucille Dyche Woodman. He died Friday, July 27, 2001 in Rush Springs.

Charles lived in the Gould/Hollis area for most of his life. He recently moved to Rush Springs from Gould.

On Oct. 12, 1946, Charles married Julia "Judy" Jones. She preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 1991.

Charles worked most of his life as a farmer and rancher. He also was a volunteer firefighter on the Gould and Hollis Fire Departments.

Charles was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He served his country during World war II.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife and both parents.

Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Earl Livingston of Ninnekah; son and daughter-in-law Fred and Katy Woodman of Rush Springs; and five grandchildren, Melissa and Michael Livingston and Evan, Randy and James Woodman.

Interment will be in the Gould Cemetery in Gould under the direction of Carter-Stewart Funeral Home in Hollis.
