Iris LaVerne Sheets, 90, passed away February 23, 2014 in the Colonial Manor in Hollis, OK after a short illness.She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, parents, Martha Ann (Mallard) and Edgar Lee Weatherford and her seven siblings, Claud, Raymond, Carroll, Maudie Webb, Velma Roden, Ozella Chisum, and Lucille Doley.
Survivors include four daughters, Gail Cansler and husband, Bob of Gould; Winnell Whitehead and husband, Russ, of Woodward; Luann Burford and husband, David, of Drummond; and Joyce Allen and husband, Terry, of Quanah, TX. Also surviving are her 9 grandchildren Roy Cansler and wife, Reve; Teri White and husband, Mori; Kyle Whitehead and wife, Lora; Kevin Cansler and wife Melissa; Jenice Roberts and husband, Johnny; Mandi Jalomo and husband, Richard; Jeanette Middleton and husband, Michael; Jerod Burford and wife, Kim; and Barbie Sloan and husband, Joshua. Last but not least were her 19 great grandchildren. These include Miranda, Matthew, Michael, Carson, Kellen, Corbin, Kale, Alexa, Austin, Kyleigh, Cole, Trey, Addy, Courtney, Ethan, Shelby, Baylor, Boston, and Gavin.
The family wants to express a special thank you to the
Colonial Manor staff for the kindness and care they gave LaVerne
while she lived there.
