Bruce Alex Mills, age 59, of Gould, passed away late Monday evening, April 1, 2013, at Harmon Memorial Hospital, in Hollis, Mr. Mills was born in Oklahoma City on February 21, 1954, to C.R. (Red) and Pauline (Roberts) Mills. Moving to Dallas, as an infant, for a short time, the family moved to Gould when Bruce was two years old. Attending Gould School, Bruce graduated in 1973, and attended Altus Junior College and Southwestern University, where he played baseball. Moving back to Gould, Bruce began Mills Dozer Service which he owned and operated until his death.Preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Dobbs and one nephew, Michael Khazoom.
He is survived by one daughter, Danya Mills Fancher and husband Caleb of Hollis; one sister, Marion Sue Sexton of Altus; one brother Randy Mills and wife Linda of Hollis; nephews and nieces, Mary Jane Barnes and husband Omar, Mary Beth Tischler and husband Robert, Bailey Dobbs, J.R. Mills and wife Toni and Jeremy Mills; great nephews and nieces, Molly and Michael Barnes, Foster Tischler and Nathan, Conner and Andrew Mills.
Funeral services for Bruce Mills will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2013, at the Hollis Church of Christ with J.R. Mills officiating. A private interment will follow under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis.
