Robert Henry "Bud" Hickman, 82, died Sunday in Stroud
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Gould Cemetery Les Johnson will officiate.
The son of John and Mary (Trout) Hickman was born in Bowie, Texas, on May 6,
1919.
He moved from Gould, Okla., to Stroud six years ago, where he was
living at the time of his death.
He was affiliated with the Methodist church.
Hickman retired from Doran Chevrolet in Hobbs, N.M., where he worked as
services manager.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
On June 12, 1939, he and Opal June Cummings were married in Hollis, Okla.
His parents, two brothers and two sons, Bobby and Phillip, precede Hickman in death.
Survivors include his wife of the home; sons, Robert Danny Hickman and Terry
W. Franklin, both of Stroud; daughters, Roberta Thompson of Stroud and La Wanna Burrous of Riverton, Wyo.; brothers, Lloyd Hickman of Gould and Ray
Hickman of Tolovana, Ore.; sisters, Pauline Winn of Mangum and Wanda
Williams of Yucaipa, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and eight
great-grand children.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services, Stroud.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
