Ruth Ann Robinson, 77, Hollis, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the Harmon Memorial Hospital in Hollis. Ruth Ann was born on February 28, 1948, in Hollis to Cline Melvin Lee and Myrtle Irene (Owens) Cole.
She grew up in Hollis and graduated from Hollis High School with the Class of 1966. She worked as a cook and manager at Irene's Café and Irene's Country Cookin'. Ruth Ann married John Franklin Robinson in Wellington, Texas on December 15, 1977. She worked for Colonial Manor Nursing Home from 1989 - 2004 as the Dietary Manager. Ruth Ann then worked for the Boomerang Restaurant until her health declined. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hollis and was highly active in her community. Ruth Ann was a collector of frog figurines and loved to travel. She spent many vacations with her family. Some of her fondest memories and greatest treasures were times spent with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a stepson, John Franklin Robinson, Jr.
Those left to honor her memory are her two sons, Darwin Craig Robinson and wife, Lyndsey, and Alan Robinson; three grandchildren, Cole, Clyde, and Lucy Robinson; and two stepchildren, Jeffrey Robinson and Janay Ogston.
The family will received friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the Harmon County Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Tutten officiating.
Burial will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery under the care of the Harmon County Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ruth Ann's name to the
1971 Sorosis Club c/o Judy Webb, 403 W. Dorothy, Hollis, Oklahoma 73550.
