Michael Lynn Hubanks, age 44, of Hollis, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at his residence, in Hollis. Michael was born on May 13, 1966, in Hollis to George and Joyce (Wood) Hubanks. A life long resident of Hollis, Michael graduated from Hollis High School in 1984, and later attended Dodge City Community College on a football scholarship. After an injury sidelined his college career, Michael returned to Hollis where he worked in the cattle industry. In 1996, he married Debra Henderson and after living a short time in Dallas, they moved back to Hollis. Fishing and hunting were two things that Michael enjoyed in life, but spending time with friends and family was what he enjoyed most of all.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Della Hubanks and A.L. Wood.
Graveside services for Michael Hubanks will be at 4 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Fairmount Cemetery, with Chris Carlisle officiating.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m.,
Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Harmon County Funeral Home with
Chris Carlisle officiating.
