Eugene Gollihare, age 70, of Hollis, Oklahoma passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Harmon Memorial Hospital in Hollis.

Eugene was born in Daisetta, Texas on November 22, 1945 to his parents Charlie Robert and Ella Marie (Skidmore) Gollihare. The family moved between Texas and Oklahoma and in 1963 Eugene graduated from Dodson High School in Dodson, Texas. Shortly after high school Eugene married the love of his life Mary Graves on June 8, 1965 in Laredo, Texas and they enjoyed over 50 years of marriage. Eugene and Mary lived in Muskogee, Tulsa, Dodson, Texas, and settled in Hollis in 1970. Eugene owned and operated Midway Motors and Salvage in Hollis and enjoyed going to swap meets, auctions, and car shows, but above all else he loved his family and spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids and he will be missed very much.

Preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Richard, Donald, Gerald, LeRoy, and Dewayne; and his grandson, Zane Allen Robinson; Eugene is survived by his wife Mary of the home; two sons, Brian Lee Gollihare and wife Kara of Hollis and Kenneth Eugene Gollihare, Jr. and wife Holly of Hollis; one daughter, Amber Robinson and husband Leonard of Hollis; four brothers, Douglas Gollihare and wife Margaret of Texas; William Dale Gollihare of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Johnny Gollihare and wife Sue of Nebraska; and Charles Gollihare of Ada, Oklahoma; two sisters, Linda Prock of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and Lois Roberts and husband Joe of Ada; sister-in-law, Darlene Gollihare of Stratford, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Louise Gollihare of Texas; ten grandchildren, Brian, Dylan, and Baron Gollihare; Kendon Owens and husband Chris, Holden Gollihare; Jordan McLaughlin and husband Devin, Kolton Hays, Kenley, Talon, and Jett Robinson; two great grandchildren, Carter and Kymber Owens as well as one great grandchild on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many special friends.

The family will greet friends during visitation from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm, Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Hollis with Pastor Chris Carlisle, Jesse Cantu, and Oliver White officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis.
