Mary “Mema” Esparso, age 45 of Hollis, passed away, Sunday,
January 19, 2014 at her home. Mary was born in Navasota, Texas on May 15, 1968
to Pancho Jose Esparsa and Olivia (Gomez) Lopez. Mary was a member of the Templo
La Hermosa Church in Hollis and she loved being outside, fishing, riding motor
cycles, and spending time with her grandbabies.
Preceded in death by her father, Pancho Jose Esparsa and her godfather, Pete
Guillen; one sister Mary Helen Espino.
Mary is survived by her mother Olivia
Lopez of Hollis; three daughters, Veronica Lopez and husband Frank of Altus;
Jennifer Vega and husband Dionisio of Memphis, Tennessee; Crystal Vargas and
fiancé Jose of Memphis, Tennessee; two brothers, Paul Joe Esparsa and wife Lisa
of Hollis; Pancho Jose Esparsa, Jr. and wife Rachel of Texas; six sisters,
Francis Oviedo and husband Emilio of Texas; Mary Minerva Guzman and husband
Simon Guzman, Jr. of Hollis; Mary Dora Garcia and husband Nestor of Hollis; Mary
Hope Gutierrez and husband Gregorio Gutierrez, Jr. of Texas; Barbara Puentes and
husband Federico of Hollis; Susie Salas and husband Isaias of Hollis; nine
grandchildren, Eloisa, Eliza, Frank, Jr., Sandra, Sofia, Alexander, Nick, Addy,
and Dionisio, Jr., three godchildren, Frederic Puentes; Amy Mejia, Matthew
Vargas; numerous neices, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
The Esparso family will receive friends Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 6:00 pm
until 8:00 pm at Harmon County Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Templo La
Hermosa in Hollis with Pastor Sally Saldana officiating.
Interment will follow
at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis under the direction of Harmon County Funeral
Home.
