Patricia Joyce Branigan, 74, of Euless, TX, passed away Saturday morning, December 24, 2016, at her residence, in Euless, while surrounded by her loving family.

Pat, to her friends and family, was born May 16, 1942, in Pampa TX to William Alvin and Belva Odessa (Langley) Blankenburg. She was the oldest child, her siblings being Nelda Gay Meeks and Linda Carol Hill, and two half siblings Jenny (Blankenburg) Warner and Else (Blankeburg) Couzin.

At an early age she began living with and was raised by her grandmother and step-grandfather, Bula Mae and H.E. (Jimmy) Smith of the Arnett community near Hollis, OK. She graduated from Arnett High School in 1960. She married Eldon Dwight Branigan on April 14, 1960, with whom she had had four children, Kelly Branigan-Davis of Euless TX, Shelly Branigan-Olive (husband Joel Olive) Haltom City TX, Lara Branigan of Euless TX, and Matthew Branigan of Euless TX.

She received an Associate’s Degree in Photography from Tarrant County Junior College as part of her lifelong appreciation of art. Her hobbies included oil painting, drawing, and genealogy.

She was preceded in death by the grandparents who raised her, her parents, and one daughter, Lara. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dwight, three children, Kelly Branigan-Davis of Euless TX, Shelly Branigan-Olive (husband Joel Olive) of Haltom City, TX, and Matthew Branigan of Euless TX, and her four grandchildren: Joshua Davis, Sarah Olive, Rachel Olive, Daniel Olive, and Scott McCorkle (who she raised after the passing of his mother Lara). She is also survived by her two sisters, Nelda Gay Meeks of Mustang OK, and Linda Hill of Healdton OK, and two half-sisters Jenny Warner and Else Couzin, and numerous nieces and nephews. She has joined her daughter Lara in eternal rest.

Funeral services for Pat Branigan will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the First Baptist Church, Hollis OK, under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, of Hollis OK
