Renny Mae Bradford, age 88, of Weatherford, Oklahoma, formerly of Mangum, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012, at the Weatherford Living Center.

Mrs. Bradford was born in Quitman, Texas on September 20, 1924, to Phillip and Clara (Gresham) Westmoreland. Moving to Greer County as a young child, Renny attended Duke, Wildcat and Ladessa Schools. On November 7, 1945, she married Dewie Bradford and they spent the next sixty-four wonderful years together before his death on July 23, 2010. After establishing their home in the Wildcat Community, they lived for a short time east of Duke with the majority of their time in the Russell Community. Renny worked for a time at Duffer's Café and Duke School. Quilting, working in her flowerbeds and going to basketball games were some of her favorite pastimes, but being with her family and frying her special fried chicken brought joy to her life.

Preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Linda Gail Rice, one sister, Myrtie Sullivan and three brothers, Alvin Westmoreland, J.M. Westmoreland and Sebe Westmoreland, she is survived by five children, Phyllis Stalcup and husband Gary of Lewisville, Texas, Jerry Don Bradford and wife Susan of Russell, Kenneth Wayne Bradford and wife Vangie of Geary, Oklahoma, Doris Faye Bradford and fiancée Domingo Herrera of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Dewey James Bradford and wife Shary of Vinson, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Renny Bradford will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012, at the Russell Baptist Church with Elders Conway Wood and Glenn Rooker officiating. Interment will follow at Russell Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.

The family will greet friends at Greer Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon, September 26, 2012, from 5 until 6 p.m.

Online tributes may be made to the family at Greer Funeral Home.
