Gertrude Callen, 94, died June 12, 1986 in Amarillo, Tex.
Services were held Saturday, June 14, in the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Billy Dunham officiating. Burial was in the Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home.
Gertrude Allen was born January 22, 1892 at Gainesville, Tex., the daughter of Amos and Hattie Allen. She moved to Oklahoma with her parents when she was a child. She Married J.J. Callen, June 10, 1910 at Emet. They moved to the White Flat Community in 1927. Her husband preceded her in death in 1940. Mrs. Callen was a member of the Methodist Church, a homemaker and was employed in a defense plant in California from 1940-45. She moved to Mangum in 1945, Where she made her home until a year ago, when she moved to an Amarillo, Tex., Nursing home.
Survivors are three sons; Rock, Stonewall, Casto, Mangum and Murray,
Vinson, nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and six
great-great-grandchildren.
