Billy Ray Locklear, age 65, of Clinton, passed away
December 20, 2015, in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Mr. Locklear was born in Altus, Oklahoma on August 2, 1950, to F.R. (Gus) and
Betty Jean (Sanders) Locklear. Most of his youth was spent in Hollis, Oklahoma
where he graduated from Hollis High School. Billy was active in sports,
excelling in football and track. Bill was always known as a worker holding many
jobs in his school years. After graduating, Bill became active in the family
roofing business. In 1969, Billy married Vicki Hubanks and they had one child,
Angel. Billy eventually became an owner of Locklear Bonded Roofing, in Vernon
Texas for many years and made many friends throughout his business work area. In
his spare time, Billy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, water
sports, hunting and fishing.
Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John, he is survived by one
daughter, Angel Schultz of Saugus, California; two grandchildren, Sydnee Schultz
and Jake Schultz; two sisters, Mary Acosta of San Antonio, Texas and Barbara
Walker of Chickasha, Oklahoma along with many other relatives and a host of
friends.
Memorial services for Billy Ray Locklear will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, January
23, 2016, at the Granite Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tim McGough
officiating. A private inurnment will follow at Granite Rock Cemetery.
