Jennie Ruth Bryant, 86, Mangum died early Monday at Jackson County Memorial
Hospital after a long illness.
Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, Mangum,
with both the Rev. J. V. Lobaugh, Altus, and the Rev. Jimmy Hopper, Mangum,
officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Mangum, with Greer Funeral
Home in charge of arrangements.
She married George Dewey Bryant in 1920, northeast of Mangum. She was a member
of the First Baptist Church, taught in the junior department of the church and
sang in the choir. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Horn, Chickasha; two sons, Dale Bryant,
Eldorado, and Ted Bryant, Onalaska, Texas; sister Jerre Northcutt, Dallas,
Texas; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Dewey Bryant, and her son
Lawrence.
