George Edward (Eddie) Blalock, III, age 77, of Corpus Christi and formerly of

Mr. Blalock was born in Hollis, Oklahoma on December 19, 1938, to George Edward

but had a large, loving family and many friends throughout his life. Eddie lived
in Mangum, Amarillo, Texas, Enid, Lubbock and Corpus Christi. A 1957 graduate of
Mangum High School, Eddie was a self-employed handyman who mowed many yards,
washed thousands of windows and fought many fires.
After graduating from Mangum High School, Eddie served in the Oklahoma National
Guard. He lived a short distance from the Mangum Fire Department and some of his
favorite times were spent playing games with the firemen and sweeping the truck
bays. As a volunteer fireman, Eddie rode his bicycle to most of the fires in
Mangum and helped with anything that needed to be done at a fire.
He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by many cousins.
