Ruth Knight Hill, 89 of Dumas passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021.
Graveside Service is scheduled for 9:30 in the morning on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Reed Cemetery in Reed, OK officiated by T.K. Baker.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock in the evening at Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
Ruth was born on December 28, 1931, in Gould, OK to Elijah and Lucille (Dyche) Woodman. She grew up in Gould and graduated from Gould High School. Ruth moved to Dumas in February of 1957 where she and Charlie made their home and raised their family. Ruth worked for the Department for Public Safety from 1970 to 1992. She enjoyed cooking and loved to fill her time gardening. Her greatest love was her family; she adored her grandchildren. Ruth was a member of First Street Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Charlie in 1981 then her second husband Charles in 2017; brothers: Charles Russell, Jay Walter, and Gene.
Ruth is survived by her sons: Craig Knight and wife Lisa of Medina, TX and John Knight and wife Diana of Flatonia, TX; grandchildren: Micah Lozano and husband Nick, Jeanette Tindall and husband Wes, Alison Arnold and husband John, Galina Showell and husband Tim; great grandchildren: Lauren, Jack, Elin, and Ivy; brother: Jim Woodman of Ft. Worth, TX.
The family requests, with gratitude, memorials be made to The
Refuge of Dumas, 1009 S. Maddox, Dumas, TX 79029.
Local funeral arrangements are under the direction of Greer
Funeral Home, Mangum, Oklahoma.
