Cremation services for Helen Dennis Ensley, 71 of Mangum, have been entrusted to Greer Funeral Home of Mangum. Private family graveside inurnment services will be held next week at the Granite City Cemetery.

Mrs. Ensley was born on October 11, 1939, in Lake Creek, Oklahoma and passed away Sunday evening, October 9, 2011, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, in Altus. She was the daughter of Bedford and Helen (Walker) Dennis. After the Lake Creek School closed, the family moved to Granite and then later to Lone Wolf where Helen graduated, in 1958. Moving to Mangum in the 1960’s, Helen was seamstress and began sewing for the public. She and Gene Ensley were married on May 6, 1977, and spent the next thirty-four years together.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving is her husband, Gene, of the home, along with many other relatives and friends whom she dearly loved.
