Betty Marie Tyner, age 82, of Mangum, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, in Altus.

Mrs. Tyner was born in Fredericksburg, Texas on September 24, 1930, to Arch and Ruth Ann (Kidd) Keller. Leaving home at the age of nineteen, she married James Donald Jacques. Through the years, they lived in several place with James being a member of the United States Air Force. After their divorce in 1974, she later married John C. Tyner, in Lovington, New Mexico, on May 19, 1981. Moving to Mangum in 1983, he preceded her in death on November 17, 1996.

Preceded in death by her parents, one son, James Donald Jacques, Jr. and husband, John, she is survived by three daughters, Kay Pollex of Hydesville, California, Vickie Barber and husband Mike of Mangum and Susi Alamilla of Mexico; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren, one sister, Janice Foshee of Texas; two brothers, Richey Keller and Homer Anderson of Texas and many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Betty Tyner will be at 2 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012, at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor James Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at the Brinkman Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
