Memorial services for Edna Mae Yarnell, 95, Goltry, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at New Covenant Fellowship, Goltry. Burial services were held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Wakita Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Edna Mae was born on December 24, 1921 in Harper, Kansas, the daughter of Owen Tracy and Eva (Thatcher) Tracy, and passed away peacefully on November 26, 2017 in Enid. She graduated from Spring township High School in Anthony, Kansas with the class of 1939. Edna Mae married Stanley Yarnell on March 13, 1941 and farmed around Medford and Wakita, Oklahoma. She retired from Hewlett Packard in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Apryle Cummins and husband Dale of Goltry, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Edna Mae was preceded in passing by her husband, parents and daughter, Patricia Ann.
She will be missed by her church family. Edna was a very grateful woman who always said thank you even for a glass of water.
The family has requested memorial donation checks be made payable to New Covenant Fellowship Church.
