Wakita Cemetery


The funeral for Ruth E. Reneau, 91, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at Anderson - Burris Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bob Smith will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Wakita Cemetery.

She was born July 7, 1917, in Morrison to Samuel "Flemmy" and Ruthia "Belle" Bebout Cranmer and died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at The Commons, Enid.

She attended school at Gore Consolidated Schools. She married Perry Reneau Nov. 28, 1954, in Wichita, Kan. She worked as a CMA for Wakita Nursing Home . She was a member of Enid First Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are two daughters, Cleda Wells of Enid and Janice Clendennen of Justin, Texas; five stepdaughters, Shirley Meadows of Anderson , Mo., Faye Reneau of Pineville, Mo., Frances Kemp of Henderson, Ky., Carolyn Christin of Mendota, Ill. and Marlene Michael of Robards, Ky.; one step-son, Max Reneau of Warrensburg, Mo.; two brothers, Dale Cranmer of Caldwell, Kan., and Bert Cranmer of Wellington, Kan.; one sister, Ruby Smith of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry, and four brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Methodist Care Center at The Commons or Ross Health Care.
