Wakita Cemetery


The funeral for Ray L. Rapp, 89, of Wakita will be 2 p.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Wakita. The Revs. Les Bussell and Gary Holt will officiate. Burial will be in Wakita Cemetery. Arrangements are by Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Anthony, Kan. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to service time Friday at the church.

He was born Jan. 14, 1916, at Wakita to Forrest and Mary Lieble Rapp and died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Anthony Hospital, Anthony, Kan.

He married Dorothy Lett Aug. 25, 1936, at Blackwell. She died. He later married June McNamer, Sept. 30, 1993.

Surviving are his wife, June of the home; one daughter, Janis Goble of Wichita, Kan.; one stepson, Ron McNamer of Malvern, Ark.; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three step- great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he was preceded in death by one daughter.

Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church.
