A Celebration of Life for Mary Lou Leblo, 72, of Wakita, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016, at the Wakita Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Mary Lou was born March 31, 1944, in Anthony, Kan., the daughter of Louis and Mary Margaret (Naylor) Hess. She went home Sept. 14, 2016, in Wakita, Okla., with her family at her side.

She attended school in Manchester and graduated from Wakita High School in 1962. She was employed by the Wakita Public School System for over 29 years. She enjoyed baking, sewing, crafting and taking care of her dogs, Bear, Bubba and Ozzie. She will be remembered for her willingness to help and care for others, always putting others before herself.

Survivors include three children, Kenneth D. Leblo, of Wakita, Okla., Cynthia M Wilhite (Tim), of Nashville, Tenn., and Christopher Saint John Creger (Nathan), of Norman, Okla.; four grandchildren, Alexis, Devin, Makayla, and Christian. Siblings include Judy Bellin (Dean), Wakita, Okla., William "Bud" Hess (Martha), Anthony, Kan., Maggie "Pinky" Ream, Enid, Okla., Carolyn "Kay" Majors (Billy), Melville, La., Janice "Shotsie" Buswell, Mike "Burlie" Hess (Rita), Enid, Okla., Bobby Hess (Jody), Midland, Texas, Tammy Warnecker, Enid, Okla., Rick Hess (Patti), Waukomis, Okla., Kevin Hess, Oklahoma City, and Jack DeBord (April), Ada, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Arthur "Jack" Leblo, a sister Elaine "Sister" Isaacs, and a brother Ronnie Hess, and two nephews, Kody Lamb and Justin Burlie.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Health Center in Wakita, Okla., with the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
