March 12, 1929 - May 4, 2019

Wakita - Arthur (Feller) Green, the second of four children, was born to Arthur (Yenks) and Anna Cissell Green on March 12, 1929 and passed from this life on May 4, 2019 in Wakita.

He graduated from Wakita High School in 1947 as valedictorian of his class where he also excelled in football, basketball, and track. He then graduated in 1951 from Oklahoma A&M, now OSU, with a degree in Ag Engineering. He remained a fan and supporter of Oklahoma State the rest of his life.

He married his high school sweetheart, Gerry McClung, and they were blessed with one son, Herb Green, five grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

After college Feller farmed with his dad until his dad's retirement and then continued to expand his wheat and cattle operation. Feller was involved in many outside organizations when possible. As a young man he served on the Grant County Conservation District and Wakita School Boards. In later years, he served as a director of the Farm Credit Bank of Enid, served on the advisory Committee at the Farm Credit Bank of Wichita, and served as a director on the Oklahoma Wheat Commission.

Feller was a charter member of the very successful Community Health Center of Wakita, where he was recently honored for his service of fifty years as a board member. After his retirement he was selected to serve on the Oklahoma State FSA Committee. Feller was a long-time member of Wakita Christian Church, where he served as a deacon and elder.

Feller loved his family and enjoyed family get-togethers. He took pride in his son's and grandchildren's accomplishments and always encouraged them in their pursuits. His leadership, kindness, wisdom, and generosity was readily shared with his family who adored him.

Feller was preceded in death by his parents, Yenks and Anna Green; brother, Dick Green; sister, Jo Anne Davis, and nephew, Eric Green.

He is survived by his wife, Gerry Green; son, Herb (Donna) Green; brother, HJ (Gloria) Green and wife, Gloria and, sister-in-law, Rachel Green. Grandchildren include, Angie (James) Phillippe, their children, Jack, Henry, and Johnny Phillippe, Aaron (Sharon) Green, their children, Sarah and Sam Green, Anna (David) Cullins, their children, Duke, Dottie, Clyde, and Naomi Cullins, Cara (Greg) Sharp, their children, Emma, Walker, and Nolan Sharp, and Jason Burch. He is also survived by several nieces; nephews, and, many friends.

Memorial service will be on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Wakita First Christian Church. Burial will be in Wakita Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Medford. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral home Inc.
