Wakita Cemetery


Minola, Kansas – Leona Mae Goble, 75, a former resident of the Nash area, died Sunday in a Minola, Kansas, hospital. The funeral will be at 10 AM Tuesday in the Chapel at Minnis Mortuary there with the Rev. Arden Roush and the Rev. Russell Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be at 3 PM Tuesday at the Wakita Cemetery.

She was born March 12, 1912, in Nash to John and Leona V. Dowell Chestnut and on December 25, 1928, married Daryl Goble in Hawley. He died in 1978. She was a member of the Christian Church in Minola.

Survivors include a son, Eddie L. Goble, Minola, Kansas; a brother, Alfred Chestnut, Nash; three grandchildren; and a great – grandson.

Memorials may be made to the Library in Minola.
