Services for Lucy Adams, Guymon, will be Friday at 10 AM in the Victory Memorial United Methodists church and Guymon with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 4 PM in the Wakita Cemetery under the direction of the Henson Funeral Home in Guymon.
Adams died Wednesday afternoon in a Guymon hospital.
She was born October 17, 1897, daughter of James and Belle Coleman. She married W. E. Adams and they made their home in Wakita for many years before moving to Guymon in 1956. W. E. Preceded her in death in 1961.
She was a member of the Victory Memorial United Methodist Church, a past worthy matron of Wakita Order of Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary, American Auxiliary and a charter member of W.S.C.S. in Wakita.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. H. J. (Marybelle) Wetmore, Guymon; three sons, Don Adams, Guymon, Myron Adams, Guymon, Cliff Adams, Riverside, California; two sisters, Mrs. Jesse Shaw, Guymon, Mrs. Augusta Adams, Bloite, Kansas; one brother, Orville Coleman, Sabeth, Kansas; 11 grandchildren and 14 great – grandchildren.
