Medford – Requiem Mass for William H. Baier, 86, who died Saturday in an Enid hospital, will be at 10 AM Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Medford. Rev. Jerome G. Taloen will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Medford, under the direction of Hills Funeral Home. Rosary services were at 7:30 Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Baier was born August 26, 1898, at Sauk City, Wisconsin. He moved to Oklahoma in 1917 to work in the wheat harvest and has lived in the Medford area since. On June 2, 1925, he married Lena Hein. They lived north of Medford where he farmed and did carpentry work. They moved into Medford in December 1972. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Forresters.
He is survived by his wife, Lena.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Leo, Arnold and Howard, on February 11, 1946.
Contributions to the Oklahoma Medical Research Heart Fund may be made in his name with the funeral home at the as custodian of the fund.
