Wilnora "Mae" Cormack Mund, age 94, passed from this earth into her loving savior's hands June 12th, 2023, in Wagoner OK.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edgar Albert Mund, daughter Linda Sue Wittum, parents Nora Nanny and William James Cormack and siblings Russell Cormack, Roy James Cormack, Evert Miller, Thelma Miller, Emma Miller, and Jessie Wedel. Mae is survived by her son, Larry A. Mund, Wagoner OK; grandchildren, Chase Wittum, Vanessa Wittum; great-granddaughter, Emma Wittum, Medford, OK; and sister, Betty June Prather of Hollywood, FL.
Mae was born May 14, 1929, to Nora and William Cormack in the farmhouse where she grew up in Jefferson, OK. Her father was a sharecropper west of Jefferson, OK, where she attended Riverdale Country School then later Jefferson, OK, school where she graduated from high school. She attended the Christian church in Jefferson growing up and was baptized April 9th, 1950, at First Christian Church in Medford by Rev. Marion Prather. Mae joined First Christian Church, attending regularly. Mae met her one and only true love Edgar Mund of Medford and married April 26, 1952. Together they continued their lives farming and ranching where Edgar grew up and raising their children Larry and Linda. Her greatest passions were gardening, canning, and caring for her family.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 17th, 2023, 2:00 p.m., at First Christian Church of Medford, OK, with Pastor Jacob Anderson. Graveside services will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Clyde, OK. Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home of Pond Creek, OK, Friday, June 16th, 6:30-7:30.
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Cemetery, Clyde. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, OK.
